Kaal Bhairav Temple is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Varanasi. Lord Kaal Bhairav is considered the fierce manifestation of Shiva and guardian deity of the holy town.

History

Extremely ancient shrine rebuilt in its present form around the 17th century by Maratha rulers.
